HELP US PURCHASE 161 JAMAICA AVE!
Donate to help found the East Brooklyn Liberation Center
ENYCLT is in contract to purchase this historic 9,500 sq ft building on the northwest edge of East New York—the front line of gentrification. To secure this building, we must raise $1 million by April 2026.
With your help, we can establish this community stronghold against displacement and cultural erasure.
Your donation directly contributes to preserving 161 Jamaica as community-controlled land forever.

THE EAST BROOKLYN LIBERATION CENTER WILL INCLUDE:
COMMUNITY HOME: A base for tenant meetings, anti-eviction and know-your-rights trainings, homeowner support and ICE defense. This space will anchor ENYCLT’s work to keep local residents in their homes and in the neighborhood.
LIBERATION SCHOOL: A dedicated space to institutionalize ENYCLT’s political education and organizing program for local residents.
CULTURAL HUB: Workshops, tours, art builds and other events related to historical and cultural preservation of our working class Black and Latine community led by two local groups, Preserving East New York (PENY) and East New York Archives.
SOLIDARITY ECONOMY: An affordable, sliding-scale event space for local residents, grassroots groups, artists, and activists. This building will also include long-term affordable office and workshop space for worker cooperatives and other entities in the solidarity economy.
